Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BUGERA On November 3, 1999 with his devoted wife Magdalen by his side, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, John Bugera passed away at the age of 87 at Misericordia Health Centre. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Magdalen; son Len (Antoinette) granddaughter Krista Deighton; daughter Lucille Cunningham of Calgary; grandsons, Graham (Angie), Neal; daughter Judy (Al) Hamm; grandsons, Russell (Sonja), Jaret; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. John was born in Canora, Sask. on January 27, 1912 where he spent his early years on a farm. In 1940 he married his wife Magdalen. They lived in both Canora and Tadmore, Sask. In 1948 they moved with their family to Winnipeg where John was employed as an electrician. He spent his spare time in the garage tinkering, repairing and creating unique items. Following his retirement, Dads creative ability resulted in his building an impressive cottage at Lakeshore Heights which was shared and enjoyed by all members of the family. He also spent many happy hours playing whist and bridge at Bronx Park Seniors Bridge Club, Helmsdale Seniors Club and Poplar Seniors Centre. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to our family, friends and members of the Seniors clubs for the many personal visits, greeting cards and kind gestures directed towards John during his illness. Special thanks to those staff members on Cornish 5 Misericordia Health Centre who showed genuine concern and compassion to John during his stay. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 7 at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8 at St. Alphonsus Church, Munroe and Brazier with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
