GLADYS ALTHAM Peacefully, in her sleep, on Thursday, November 4, 1999, at the Fort Garry Care Centre, Gladys passed away at the age of 77 years. She will be very sadly missed by her husband Ray; two brothers, Bill and George and by her sister, Adelaine in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kernaghan and by her sister, Miriam. Gladys retired from the CBC after 25 years of service in various capacities. As a youngster, she was a noted speed skater and later enjoyed golf as a member of Elmhurst, Niakwa and Southwood clubs. She particularly enjoyed spending the winter months on Marco Island, Florida. In compliance to Gladys wishes, a private service has been held. We the family would like to express a special thanks to the very kind and helpful nurses and caregivers at the Fort Garry Care Centre. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Gladys memory to a charity of your choice.
