BRENDA F. ASHLEY Peacefully after a short illness, and surrounded by family, November 1, 1999, in her 81st year at Newmarket, Ontario. Active member of the Deep River community for fifty years. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert, at Marionhill, Pembroke, Ontario. Also survived by daughter Jane and her husband Ron Willard, Aurora; and son Robert and wife Susan, Toronto. Predeceased by son, Peter. Daughter of the late William Earl and Frances (Hawkins) Chrispin. Sister-in-law of Margaret Ashley and the late Laura Ashley, Winnipeg. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Charlotte, Lauren, Camille and Gordon Ashley. Cremation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held November 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Deep River Community Church followed by a short reception at the C.E.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross Society, Renfrew County Branch, 1217 Pembroke St. E., (613) 735-1157.
