WILFRED ROY BURGESS On October 28, 1999 at 80 years of age. Lovingly remembered and greatly missed by wife Eileen; son Bill (Saudi Arabia) daughters, Roberta Burgess and Cathie McDowell; son-in-law Keith McDowell and grandchildren Kyle and Kelsey. Also loved and deeply missed by sisters, Evelyn and Edna Burgess and Olive Sanders (California). His many in-laws and their families will also miss his presence in their lives, including Dorothy Jones and Phyllis Mitchell (Winnipeg), Lorena and Bill Lyle (Ontario), Adrienne and Jim McPherson (Ontario) and Alice Jones (British Columbia). We would like to thank family and friends for their support during this difficult time. Predeceased by his parents, brother Frank and his wife Christina, sister Bessie and brother-in-laws Jim Fraser and Harvey Jones. Wilf loved to reminisce about his childhood on the farm, school days and antics with his navy buddies in the Maritimes. He worked for Winnipeg Hydro for 42 years and obtained the position of Superintendent of the Meter Division. Wilf loved his family, home, Hillside Beach Cottage and his canine pal, Pixie. He was a wonderful handyman and was always willing to help others. The family would like to thank Drs. John Mayba, Simon Wong, Crawford and Marr and the staff of E3 at Riverview Medical Centre for their kindness to Wilf. Cremation and private family service has taken place.
