Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIGURBORG (SIGGA) OLIVER It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on November 4, 1999 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital surrounded by her devoted family. Sigga is survived by her sons, Cliff (Isabel), Tom (Marian), Jim (Dorothy) daughter Norma Hegarty (Jeff) and daughter-in-law Jean Oliver. Sigga leaves to mourn 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister Steina McCallum of Dauphin and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Sigga was predeceased by her beloved husband Norman (1985) precious sons, Douglas (1996), George (1997) and daughter-in-law Edith (1982). Sigga was born in Lundar in 1909 and moved to Selkirk in 1950 where she resided until her passing. She was a pillar of strength for all her family and everyone who touched her life. Her friendship and devotion to those she loved was unconditional. The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to the staff of the Selkirk Betel Home for the excellent care provided. A very special thanks to Glennis Smith for her sensitivity and kindness and special thanks to Lena Cheslock for lending her support and friendship. The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fuchs and the hospital staff for the compassion and care provided during our time of need. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Selkirk and District General Hospital, Box 5000, Selkirk, MB, R1A 2M2.
