GILBERT G. ROBSON Gilbert Robson (Gibby) peacefully passed to his eternal rest November 1, 1999, at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce; sons Ron (Connie) and Gary (Dianna) and daughter Diane (Jim) and grandchildren, Russell, Ryan, Laura and Laine Robson, Scott and Lindsay Drummond, as well as several nieces and nephews. Our Granddad was an awesome gift from God. He was always supportive and loving. He enjoyed making things for us and with us. Whether it was something from his woodworking shop, or a news show with the video camera. We are thankful for the time that we were able to spend with him. Gilbert was a member of Sparling United Church for over 60 years and was employed by Canadian Pacific Railway for 41 years. He served five years in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Chief F.R.A. He was involved with the Boys Club and Scouts Swim Club, the Royal Life Saving Society and the Seniors Swim program. He was a long time member of the Brooklands and Weston Legion #2. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Sparling United Church, Elgin and Worth St. Monday, November 8 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to T3 Deer Lodge Centre or Sparling United Church.
