TEOFILA LUCHKA (nee MYSULA) Suddenly and peacefully at her home on Friday, November 5, 1999, at 79 years, Teofila went into the loving arms of her Creator. Teofila was born and raised in Hayi, oblast Ternopil, Ukraine. In the process of immigrating, she married and had a family. Immigrating to Canada in 1948, she settled and raised her family in Winnipeg. She worked as a seamstress and then as a teller at North Winnipeg and Carpathia Credit Union until her retirement. All the while nurturing her passion for growing plants and flowers both at her home and on Dibrova. Being a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church and other Ukrainian organizations, she maintained her giving and workaholic nature as she cherished her family and friends. She will sorrily be missed and leaves to cherish her memory by son George (Jurij) relatives in Ukraine and Poland and all her dear friends. Teofila was predeceased by her husband and partner in life Petro; mother Antonnia and father Anton; beloved brothers Volodumur and Muhaylo and sister Bozhenia. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 8, at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor Street, with Rev. Dr. A. Baran officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Messrs: Mike Kaminsky, Roman Muczij, Andrew Ogaranko, Roman Sytnick, Walter Wowczuk and Bohdan Wowczuk. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Pomich Ukraina, or a charity of your choice. Sincere thanks to Dr. B. Gorski for his compassion, care and friendship.
