Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUCE MORGAN DAY December5, 1950- November 5, 1999 It is with great sadness that the family of Bruce Morgan Day announces his passing on Friday, November 5, 1999. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Marion; sons, Bruce Junior, Zacharias; daughters, Amelia, Matilda, Stephanie and Evangeline. Also left to grieve his passing, his mother Eva Day; brothers, Michael (Denise), Jude (Christine), Eleazor (Jean), John (Olive), Lawrence (Sally), Raymond (Maudina) adopted brother, Bruce Rae (Karen) sisters, Lily Jane Harper (Zacharias), Lucy Harper (Isaiah), Rosamund Monias (Isaiah), adopted sister Marcia Knott (Larry Knott) father-in-law David Munroe, mother-in-law Georgina Munroe; brothers-in-law, Colin (Hilda), Stewart (Valerie), Dale (Mina) sisters-in-law, Jane Munroe, Theresa, Helen, Wanda, Roberta Grieves (Dennis), Maggie Heretska (Ron) one grandson Michael Day. Bruce was predeceased by his father Elijah; brothers, Donald and Patrick; stepson Rodney. Bruce was a prominent and respected member of Garden Hills First Nation where he was President of Kistiganwacheeng Development Cooperation Inc. and Manager of Bulk Fuels. He served as a Garden Hill First Nation Band Councillor for many years. He worked closely with Manitoba Hydro, Northlands Petroleum, Arnason Construction and Comstock Canada Ltd. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of Health Sciences Centre. Bruce led a full life of great love of family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Wake services will be held on Saturday, November 6, and Sunday, November 7 at Garden Hill, Manitoba. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Garden Hill Church, Garden Hill, Manitoba with Reverend Jacob Keno officiating. Interment Garden Hill Cemetery.
