DORVALINA MORGADA DE MELO May 30, 1920 - November 5, 1999 Peacefully, with family by her side, Dorvalina Morgada de Melo passed away at the Luther Home of Winnipeg on November 5, 1999. Dorvalina was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the company of her family and special family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by sons; Asterio (Josie) Melo and Alvaro (Connie) Melo; daughters, Zenaida (John) Santos and Maria Alda (John) Bettencourt; grandchildren, John Christopher Melo, Rodney Santos, Ann Margaret Oliveira, Michael Melo, Jennifer Melo, Cynthia Bettencourt, Christopher Melo, Alyssa Bettencourt, Ashley Bettencourt, Nelson Bettencourt and Eric Melo; great-grandchild Mattias Melo and brothers, Alvaro Medeiros and Aristides Medeiros of Toronto. She was predeceased by her loving husband Manuel Raposo de Melo in 1986. Special thanks to the staff at Luther Home for all the love and support they provided during her illness. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, November 9, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Fr. Jose Medeiros officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Psalm 18 Verse 6 In my distress, I called upon the Lord. To my God I cried for help.
