Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL IRENE HODGSON McGUIRE 1911 - 1999 Hazel Irene McGuire, born March 23, 1911 in Myrtle, Man., passed away on November 3, 1999 in Tacoma, WA, U.S.A. Irene is survived by her daughter Katherine Markle and her husband Philip of Lyons, KS, U.S.A.; two grandsons, Brett Markle of Seattle, WA, Brian Markle of Woodland Hills, CA, U.S.A. and a granddaughter Brynn Markle of Fort Collins, CO, U.S.A. She leaves a sister Pearl Rasmussen of Ottawa, Ont.; three nieces, May, Bea and Dorothy and five nephews, Robert, Gary, Laird, Don and David, all of whom reside in Canada. She earned two Masters Degrees and devoted her life to teaching. She taught for 45 years at various levels and ended her career as Head of the Home Economics Department at Woodrow Wilson High School in Tacoma, WA from 1957 - 1975. Irene was a member of Mason Methodist Church. Music was a gift that she shared with others throughout her life with her love of singing and playing the piano. Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tuell-McKee Funeral Home in Tacoma, WA. Graveside services and interment will follow at the Roland Cemetery in Roland, Man. at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Mason Methodist Church, 2710 North Madison, Tacoma, WA, U.S.A., 98406.
