INA FRANCES EADIE Peacefully on November 7, 1999, Ina, beloved wife of Jim, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital aged 79 years. Ina was born in Brandon and at an early age moved with her family to the Elmwood area of Winnipeg, where she was raised and received her education. In 1942, Ina married her childhood sweetheart, Jim and travelled with him during his RCAF postings in Ontario and P.E.I. After the war, Ina and Jim came back to Winnipeg and settled in East Kildonan where they resided, raised their family and subsequently enjoyed their retirement years together. Ina had a gregarious and outgoing personality and made friends wherever she went. She was active in 5-pin bowling circles in Winnipeg for over 50 years. For over 20 years, Ina was a youth bowling instructor at Rossmere Lanes and there are numerous young men and women today who learned their bowling skills when they were youngsters under her supervision. Ina was also an enthusiastic sports fan and she particularly enjoyed cheering on her favourite baseball, football and hockey teams. Inas greatest joy in her later years were her three grandchildren. Grandma could always be counted on to be in attendance at various musical concerts, baseball, hockey or soccer games to show her support for the kids and to cheer them on in their endeavours. Grandma was their greatest and proudest fan. Besides her beloved Jimmie; Ina is survived by her sons, Jae (Rhoda) of Winnipeg and Graham (Kim) of Saskatoon and grandchildren Donna of Winnipeg, Kyle and Brock of Regina. She is also survived by her brother George Harley (Terry) of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Nan Eadie of Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Inas life will be held on Friday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with a reception to be held at the chapel following the service. In lieu of flowers, friends who desire may make a contribution in Inas memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of MB, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. The family extends its sincere and grateful thanks to the ambulance attendants and to the doctors, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for the kind and professional attention they gave to our beloved wife, mother and grandmother while she was in their care.
