Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE (MARGO) LAVOIE (nee RICHARD) It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on November 5, 1999 at the age of 84 years. Marguerite is survived by her loving family, her children, Denis, Rose-Marie (Philippe) Beaulieu, Paul (Pam), Gil (Janice), Jacqueline and Maurice (Trish) her grandchildren, Gerald, Ronald (Sylvie), Chantal, Leah (Craig), Chad, Terra, Adam, Michelle, Daniel, Lianne and Stephanie and her great-grandchildren, Melanie and Emilie. She is also survived by two brothers, Phil and Chuck (Alma), and two sister-in-law, Marguerite and Soeur Jeanne as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Louis; her brothers, Lucien, Gerard, Joseph and her sister Mary. Mom was born in Sainte-Anne, Manitoba, and soon moved to Saint-Francoise-Xavier, where as a young child she already learned to care for people; something she did her entire life. Margo derived her greatest joy from selflessly giving to family, friends and all who crossed her path. She gave endless hours to many organizations, a few of which include her parish (Precieux-Sang), The Ladies Auxiliary of the Norwood Legion, the Knights of Columbus, as well as "Le Festival du Voyageur" since its inception in 1970. Her "joie de vivre" was evident in her passion for living. Bowling, Bingo and cards were but a few of the avenues through which she naturally developed countless friendships. There was no denying her enthusiasm for sports. Her undisputed knowledge of players and statistics revealed the intense awareness with which she lived her life. Most notable, her every day began and ended in prayer. Her busy schedule never prevented her from attending daily mass. Memere touched many lives. To know her was to love her. She will be remembered by many, forgotten by none. Prayers will be said at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. (preceded by viewing at 10:00 a.m.) on Friday, November 12 at Precieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. "The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or touched, but are felt in the heart." (Helen Keller) Thank you God for her wonderful life. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949; toll free 1-800-233-4949.
