IRENE BERNICE WILSON (nee BOYKO) With deep sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend on November 7, 1999. Predeceased by her sister, the late Phyllis Calderon, Irene leaves to cherish her memory her son Michael Wilson; parents Ann and Michael Boyko; sister Evelyn and husband George Hollo and nephew Steven and Donna Calderon. She will also be sadly missed by her special friend Robert Sudyko. Born and educated in Winnipeg, Irene spent most of her working career in the travel industry, managing offices for Thomas Cook and Marlin Travel. She excelled in her work and was honoured with management awards on several occasions. She travelled extensively, visiting the United Kingdom, Europe, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Irene will be remembered as warm, loving and generous and as a devoted mother and daughter. She formed many lasting friendships which was evident by the loving support of her dear friends Pat Giekes, Gail Hill and Janet Hohm during her final hours. The family extends sincere and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Perry Gray, Shirley Herlick, nurses Sheri and Claire and the staff of the M.I.C.U. at the Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and care. A memorial service will be held at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Drive on Thursday, November 11, at 2:00 p.m., Deacon Brian Carter officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Irenes memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8. Wereschuk Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. "Rest in Peace - Sweet Angel"
