Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLEY JOHN BURNETT On Monday, November 8, 1999 at the Morden District General Hospital in Morden, MB, Beverley John Burnett aged 68 years, beloved husband of Melva Burnett (nee Hodgson) of Roland, MB. Besides his loving wife Melva; Bev leaves to mourn two daughters, Mona (Warren) Johnston, grandchildren, Paula, Brenna and Tyne of Jakarta, Indonesia, Brenda (Bill) Whitehead, grandchildren, Graig, Doug and Brian of Roland, MB; one son Gord (Janet) Burnett, grandchildren, Travis and Austin of Roland, MB. Bev also leaves two sisters, Sadie (Andy) Clearwater and Lil Phillips; as well as brother-in-law Jim (Marion) Hodgson and Ray Adams. Bev was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Alice Burnett; by one brother Murray Burnett and by two sisters, Irene Awrey and Reita Blakeston. Bev was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed participating, coaching, officiating and watching almost all sports. In recent years, Bev enjoyed many good times with his close friends, bowling, golfing, hunting and playing pool. He was an active member of the Roland Community and was willing to lend a hand whenever he could. Bevs love for his family was the most important part of his life, he beamed watching his grandchildren participate in their sports activities and loved being a grandpa. A private funeral service will be held from Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, MB on Friday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. with Chuck Ross officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery, Roland. Friends are invited to the Roland Community Hall at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 12 for a time of fellowship and refreshment will Bevs family. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9 or to a charity of ones choice. Doyles Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
