GORDON EDWARD FIELDER Peacefully Gordon Edward Fielder passed away on November 7, 1999 at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 83. Gordon was born in Kenora, Ontario on February 14, 1916. He and his wife Evelyn moved to Winnipeg in 1990. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, James and Daisy; his sister, Dorothy; his brother Stuart and his daughter Patricia. Gordon is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife Evelyn; son, David (Ann) of St. Albert, Alberta; granddaughter, Theresa-Ann (Todd) great-granddaughter, Sophie and great grandson Liam, grandson, Michael of Ottawa, son James of Winnipeg, his brother Harry of Vancouver, numerous inlaws, nieces, nephews and family friend Florence Spratt of Winnipeg. Gordon spent most his working life in Thunder Bay Ontario and surrounding area. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing at Lac des Milles Lac Ontario. He was a Legion member and was active in Union activities in Thunder Bay for a number of years. He took great pride in his family especially in the graduation of his sons, Dave and James from University. He encouraged them at every step. In accordance with Gordons wishes his body has been donated to the Department of Anatomy at the University of Manitoba in the sincere hope that further knowledge may be gained from his death. The Family asks that in lieu of flowers, should friends wish, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Victoria General Hospital Foundation. The Family wishes to thank the staff of the 5th Floor Victoria General Hospital and Dr. Pacin for their kindness and compassion and Gordons family doctor Dr. Khokar. The Love of your family Flows through these words. Your humble way Was your greatest way. It inspired our actions, and guided our thoughts You set an example, and made a stand. Now its time for you to rest, we all understand. Let us nor grieve, but stand tall and proud. You now walk in peace, And will always live on. BYE DAD
