ELEANOR MARION MARSHALL (nee SOUTH) Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Care Centre, Victoria, BC on November 7, 1999. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Marshall. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Mardie (Spencer) Newton of Winnipeg; Bill (Joanne) of Victoria; Bruce (Manon Comtois) of Ottawa and Dorie (Ian) Billich of Stouffville, ON; grandchildren Samantha, Michael, David, Tanya, Cloe and Mackenzie; sister Barbara Polson; and two nieces and a nephew. Born in Winnipeg in 1926, she attended Riverbend School and went on to graduate from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Home Economics. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Prior to her marriage in 1950 she worked at Winnipeg Hydro in the Home Service Department and then at Eatons in the Grill Room Products. She was an active member of the Junior League of Winnipeg as well as a member of the Newcomers Club in Winnipeg, London and Victoria. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Parkwood for all their care and support. A memorial service will be held on Friday November 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6.
