VERA LORRAINE MUTCHER Suddenly, on Monday, November 8, 1999 Vera Mutcher, aged 78 years passed away at the Concordia Hospital, beloved wife of Orville Mutcher. Vera was born in Amaranth, Man. on June 29, 1921 to Harry and Esther Mayor. She was a true pioneer of the Amaranth district and maintained her ties to this day. Vera later moved to Langruth, Portage and finally retired to Winnipeg. She celebrated life with her love of family, Vera loved all children. She was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers, dolls and clocks. Vera corresponded with numerous pen pals from all over the world. She had an interest in genealogy and compiled much of the family tree. She also enjoyed crafts, country music, animals, cooking and entertaining. Vera was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Esther Mayor; her brothers and sisters, Leona, Amanda, Harry, Alf, Charlie, Kenneth, Fred, John and Cliff as well as her first husband Herbert Parsons. She is survived by her loving husband Orville; her sons, Herb (Liz), Francis (Marie) and Dean (Laurel-Anne) and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters, Ruby (Gordon) and Pearl and sisters-in-law, Laura, Alice, Emily and Evelyn; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Kay and Harry, Dorothy and Albert, Kenny and Sylvia, Bernice, Clarence and Margie, Marie, Otto and Eileen, Josie and Tony, Betty, Larry and Delores, Frank and Joanne, Gord, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Selkirk with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service also in the church. Interment to follow in the Selkirk Lutheran Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Veras memory to the Canadian Arthritic Society, Ste. 105 - 386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB or the charity of ones choice.
