BRUCE RUSSELL LLEWELLYN WALKER Surrounded by his beloved family and friends, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 1999 in the Royal Jubilee Hospital of Victoria, B.C. Bruce was born on December 17, 1928 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The younger of two sons born to George Russell Walker and Florence Loretta (Morgan) Walker, he was predeceased by his brother G. Derwood. Devoted husband of Carol and loving father of Linda (Dave) Nonen, Kevin (Shawna) Walker, Wendy (Dithmar) Molzahn, Michael Walker and Jason Walker. Precious poppa of Leah Stone and James Nonen, Brooklyn and Katelyn Walker, Travis and Brandon Molzahn. Loving relation of in-laws Art and Alva Eaton, numerous brother and sister in-laws, many nieces and nephews. For health reasons, Bruce moved to Victoria in 1970 with his first wife Gwen (survived by) and their four children and shortly thereafter purchased the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. Bruces strong faith in God led him to be an active member of the Christian community, through which he served in many outreach ministries. Bruce deeply touched the hearts of all who knew him; his incredible strength, generous spirit, caring personality and love of life inspired us all. Bruce will be dearly missed by those privileged enough to have been part of his life. Memorial Service will be held at Central Baptist Church, 833 Pandora St., Victoria B.C. at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruces memory to the Greater Victoria Hospitals Foundation on behalf of the Cardiac Care Unit at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Mustard Seed Street Church or Crossover Ministries.
