JEANNE MARIE LAVALLEE Peacefully after a short illness at age 94 Jeanne passed away at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon on Tuesday, November 9, 1999. Jeanne was born November 6, 1905 in Shoal Lake, Man. She was predeceased by her husband Alphonse in 1982 and 14 brothers and sisters, Esther, Adeline, Melvina, Virginia, Marie, Gaspard, Alec, Albert, Harvey, Joe, Emil, Frank, Gib and Gillis. She is survived by sons, Phil Lavallee and wife Vera of Teulon, Jules Lavallee and wife Margaret of Anola and brother David Chartrand and wife Tina of Teulon; sisters-in-law, Germaine and Grace Chartrand of Teulon, Georgia Lockhart of Winnipeg; also surviving Jeanne are three grandchildren, Bart, Wanda and Chad of Winnipeg. Affectionately called "Auntie Jane" by her numerous nephews and nieces. She will be fondly remembered for her love of playing cribbage and her skillful abilities at sewing. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing staff of the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon and Goodwin Lodge Nursing Home for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church Friday, November 12. Prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. with the mass following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be immediately after church services at the St. Laurent Cemetery.
