KATHARINA (TINA) SELCHO (nee JANZEN) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, November 8, 1999 at the Delta Hospital, in Delta, BC, Tina Selcho, aged 74 years, wife of Leo Selcho of Delta, BC. Besides her beloved husband Leo, Tina leaves to mourn her passing her precious daughter Karin, her much loved son-in-law Kevin Lutz, as well as a brother Dietrich Janzen and his family in Russia and many friends and numerous relatives in Manitoba. Tina was predeceased by her infant twin sons in 1955 and by her parents. Tina treasured her family life. To her, peace, stability and love were everything. Her concern and caring about others often took precedence over thinking about herself. She was a person of great wisdom and we envied her ability to always see the good in things. We will greatly miss her. A very special thank you to Tinas cousin Elfriede Hiebert who made a very difficult time so much easier for our family. Words cannot express our gratitude. Special thanks also to Dr. Tom Martin for his understanding and his gentle, extraordinary care. A chapel service for friends and family will be held at the Delta Funeral Home, 5329 Ladner Trunk Road, in Ladner, BC on Friday, November 12 at 4:00 p.m. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor H. Ermisch, will be held on Monday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Delta Funeral Home. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor T. Lurvey, will be held in Winnipeg on Friday, November 26 at 2:30 p.m. at the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB. Should friends desire, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the B.C. Cancer Agency, 601 West 10th Ave., Vancouver, BC, V5Z 1L3 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
