STEVEN ROSJER "PAPA" Peacefully on November 10, 1999 at St. Boniface Hospital, Steven Rosjer passed away at 73 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents, Stefan and Elizabeth Rosjer. Steven leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 45 years Ainslee; daughters, Brenda Kupchik and husband Randy, Nancy Rosjer and Susan Van Der Ley; his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Steven Van Der Ley, Krysten and Michael Kupchik and Brynn Rosjer. He also leaves sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and many close friends. Steve spent his early years in the Interlake area. For the rest of his life he lived in St. James. He worked for Bird Construction for 32 years, starting as a foreman and retired as a construction superintendent. He always had a quick joke and a helping hand for anyone. Steve enjoyed going to Texas in the winters in his motorhome after his retirement. Steven was a member of the St. James Legion No. 4 and had proudly served in the Navy during the Second world War. Most important to him were his wife, family and his grandchildren who all loved their Papa. Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A gathering of friends and family will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Our greatest appreciation to the staff on 6A West St.Boniface Hospital, where Dad was for six weeks and thank you also to the Palliative Care Unit. Thank you to Dr. J.R.A.
