Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN ANDRUSIAK On Friday, October 8, 1999, at the Flin Flon General Hospital, Steve Andrusiak, loving husband of Claire, passed away peacefully. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Sophie, Mary and Anna and brothers, John, Peter, Alvin and brother-in-law Bill Hoop; and his first wife Nettie Tomiak. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Doreen (Richard) Murray Barbara (Bob) Hart and Stephanie (Richard) Traynor; his brother Victor (Virginia) Marusyk and brother-in-law Walter (Shirley) Tomiak; stepchildren and grandchildren, nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. Steve was born and raised in North Kildonan. After completing his education he worked for McDonald Aircraft. In 1942 he joined the Royal Navy and saw action in the North Atlantic on the HMS Warrior. After the war Steve returned home to Winnipeg and moved to Lac du Bonnet where he worked at at Comos Garage. In 1949 Steve moved to Flin Flon and worked for Doxys Bus Lines as a mechanic. In 1955 he established his business, Northern Auto Electric, which he operated with his partner, Len Pitt, until 1990. He was active in many and various community organizations and activities including the Hapnot Lake Bird Sanctuary, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and Royal Canadian Legin. He particularly enjoyed his gang shack, gardening, his boat trips on Beaver Lake and spending time with family and friends. Steve was a kind and loving man. Prayers were said on Wednesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dadson Funeral Chapel, Flin Flon.
