EDWARD FREDERICK (TED) COX Suddenly on November 11, 1999 Edward F. (Ted) Cox passed away at the Neepawa Memorial Hospital at the age of 79 years, Ted was born September 9, 1920 at Verigan, Sask. to Edward and Marie Cox. He attended school in Saskatchewan and after graduation in 1937 commenced his career with the Bank of Montreal as a Junior Clerk in Neepawa, Man. In 1941 Ted took a leave of absence to enlist in the Royal Canadian Air Force and trained as an aircraft navigator, returning to the Bank after the war. He went on to complete a career that Spanned over 47 years and numerous promotions and transfers with the Bank of Montreal, retiring from the Bank at Neepawa in June 1984. During the war years in Winnipeg, Ted met Patricia Sheedy and the two were married in August 1946. Together Ted and Pat raised a family of eight children that, with marriages and grandchildren, grew to a family of 25 during their 53 years of marriage. Nothing was ever more important or more enjoyable to Dad than being surrounded by and spending time with his family. In addition to family and career, Ted was also an active volunteer in the communities in which he lived and worked, serving as a member of several boards and committees, lending his financial and management expertise to those groups along with a good dose of humour. Left to celebrate Dads memory are his loving wife Pat of Neepawa and children, Bob of Winnipeg, Marilyn (Barry Hudson) of Brandon, Ken of Winnipeg, Sheila (David Nikkel) of Winnipeg, Cathy (Blair Russell) of Perth, Ont., Gerry (Brenda) of Winnipeg, Gord (Carolyn) of Calgary, Alta., and Tom (Pam) of Calgary; 11 grandchildren; brother Ron (Pat) of Winnipeg; sister Kathleen (Kaye Ellenton) of Olds, Alta. and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayer service will be held on November 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Whites Funeral Chapel, Neepawa and Funeral Service will be held on November 13 at 11:00 a.m. in Whites Funeral Chapel, Neepawa with Father Yolando Gamallo officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa. Its been said that if you live in hearts you leave behind, you never truly die.
