LUCINDA PIRES DE ALMEIDA ELVAS On Saturday November 6, 1999, Lucinda Pires De Almeida Elvas, passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital. She was born on October 3, 1933, in Portugal. She was predeceased by her son David in April 1998. She is survived by her loving husband Jose Elvas; sons, Alexander and Francisco; daughters, Maria (Antonio) Alves, Isabel (Carlos) Sousa, Annette, Beatrice (Steve) Plank; daughter-in-law Sally; 12 grandchildren, Carla, Nancy, Deolinda, Crystal, Manuela, Andre, Tony-George, Amanda, Miguel, Brittney, Nancy, Jessica; brother-in-law Casimiro Mesquita; numerous friends and relatives. Mother, you didnt deserve the pain and suffering that you went through, seeing you so peacefully asleep, we know you are in Gods hands. You were always a loving mother, grandmother, that could never be replaced. You will be forever remembered and loved in our hearts. May God grant you peace and everlasting eternal life. You will be deeply missed by all. Burial mass was celebrated in Ottawa, on Thursday, November 11 at the Espirito Santo Church in Hull, PQ. Burial is to take place in Portugal. A prayer for intentions will be said on Sunday, November 14 at 12:30 Mass at Immaculate Conception Parish.
