EMMA (AMY) HENRIETTA KRUGER At the age of 81 years, after a brave fight with cancer, Emma passed away peacefully on November 4, 1999 at Beaverlodge Hospital, Beaverlodge, Alberta, of Demmitt, Alberta. Born August 27, 1918 in Krupp, Saskatchewan to Emma and Otto Lutcher, she married Henry Kruger in 1944 and raised two sons, John and Allen. Emma was predeceased by her parents Otto and Emma Lutcher; brothers, Henry and Jack; sister Clara; and her husband Henry. She is survived by her two sons, John (Dorothy) and Allen (Gail) granddaughter Kathy; grandsons, Andrew and Jeffery and great-grandson Benjamin; many nieces, nephews and friends, especially her long time friend Mrs. Kay Harbottle of Winnipeg. She will be sadly missed by all. Emma will be buried in Hythe Cemetery, Hythe, Alberta, on Monday, November 8. Rev. Marilyn Carroll officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beaverlodge Hospital Fund, the Mistahia Health Unit, or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Dr. John Hunter, nurses and staff of Beaverlodge Hospital and nurses Doris McElgunn and Susan Clark of Mistahia Home Care for their gentleness and compassion.
