DR. KENNETH EDWARD McVICAR Dr. Kenneth Edward McVicar recently passed away in Ottawa after a courageous battle with cancer. Dr. McVicar had taught for 25 years in the Department of Political Studies at the University of Manitoba and was the recipient of the Beatrice Stanton award for outstanding teaching. He was enormously generous with constructive advice and support to students at all levels. A superb master of research methodology, Dr. McVicar was also a valuable and indispensable source of professional advice to his academic colleagues and others in a wide range of policy fields. To demonstrate their respect for Dr. McVicar, a number of colleagues are organizing a small fund for his daughter Roksalana Marie which will be presented to his wife Mrs. Oksana Khalest McVicar. Former colleagues, associates, students and friends of Dr. McVicar are invited to make contributions by contacting Professor Marek Debicki, Department of Political Studies, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 2N2. Telephone: 474-8196.
