Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICK NEUSTAEDTER It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Nick Neustaedter of Byron, Georgia, on on November 11, 1999. He leaves to mourn his dear wife Diane; his brother Paul and wife Marlene; his cousins, Anne and Jakob Fast, John von Kampen, Peter and Irene von Kampen, Elly and Jim Taylor, Peter and Carla Isaac, and their children, and Dianes brother and sisters-in-law and their families. Nick was born in South Russia in 1935 where he lost both parents by age seven. He came to Canada with his brother and the von Kampen family in 1947, living first in Blumenort near Gretna, then in Winnipeg. After several years as a teacher in Steinbach he continued his studies, completing his MA in Germany, after which he taught German literature at Moorhead State College. Nick and Diane then moved to Byron, Georgia where he worked at the local university until his death. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church, Notre Dame at Alverstone.
