LYDIA SCHMIDT Peacefully on November 10, 1999 at the St. Josephs Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, Lydia Schmidt, aged 93 years, formerly of Grand Marais, MB. Lydia was predeceased by her husband Richard; brothers, Ted and Gus; and sisters, Dorothy, Marie and Tillie. She leaves surviving a daughter Eileen Orieux (Roger) of Cross Lake, Minn.; a son Don (Hazel) of Grand Marais; a stepson Ronald of Drayton Valley, Alta.; a brother Ed Hoehn of Watersee, Man.; two sisters, Natalie Shadbolt of Wainwright, Alta., and Ella St. Hilaire (Alphonse) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Richard, Betty May, Myron, Celeste, Michelle, Monique, Raymond, Donald and Michael; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Interment in the Jackfish Lake Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
