WILFRED EDWARD SESSIONS It is with broken hearts and great sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved and cherished father and grandfather, Wilfred on November 9, 1999. He will be forever remembered by daughters, Betty (Albert) Lannoo, Marion (Alfred) Haacke and grandchildren, Kim (Richard) Devloo, Heather, Amanda, Stephanie and Chris Haacke and great-grandchildren, Mark and Nicole Devloo as well as sister Esther Holmes and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his soulmate and wife of 56 years, Eva in July, 1999; his parents, William and Mary and brothers, Albert, Stan and Fred. Dad was born on June 6, 1920 in Mulvihill, Manitoba and moved with his family to Sperling in 1926, which became his home for many years. Later he enlisted in the RCAF and served overseas during the Second World War. On August 4, 1943 he married Eva, his lifetime partner. They returned to Sperling in 1945 where they farmed and raised their family. Later he worked for the Sperling Co-op until his retirement in 1985. Dad was an active Legion member and was the Fire Chief for the Sperling Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Dad enjoyed his annual deer hunting trips, curling, carpentry and lending a helping hand whenever needed. dads garage became the community fix it shop in which he spent many enjoyable hours doing what he loved best. Dad will be remembered for his caring gentle nature, his honesty and incredible loyalty to family and friends. These memories we will cherish forever. We would like to thank Sharon Gyoerick and his neighbours, Bob and Jim for their kindness and friendship. Funeral service will be held at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, Manitoba on Monday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow at Sperling Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Holmes, Bruce Jenkins, Glen Hooper, Glen Curdt, Wendell Fewster and Sharon Gyoerick. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 910, Carman, Manitoba, R0G 0J0 or to a charity of ones choice. You were always there when we needed you No task was too great or small With loving heart and willing hand For us you did it all Thanks for the years you gave us and for the times we shared We only pray that when you left us You knew how much we cared Rest in Peace, Gramps Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements.
