ELMA M. WEBER It is with intense sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, friend, and hero, Elma M. Weber (Buss) of Winnipeg on November 7, 1999 at the age of 79. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Gaynor and husband Gary Russell of Vanderhoof, BC and their children Cinnamon and husband Danny Guillaume and Craig Russell; son Gerald Weber of Winnipeg; son Doug Weber and wife Barbara of Richmond Hill, Ontario and their daughters, Rhonda and Jennifer; daughter Maureen and husband Glen Antoski of Vanderhoof, BC and their children, Jordyn and Bryn; and daughter Sondee and husband Kevin Comrie of Winnipeg and their daughters, Chelsea and Randall. After learning of her cancer, Mom travelled to Vanderhoof to visit there where it took her life three weeks later. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the people of Vanderhoof and the staff at St. Johns Hospital for their hospitality and care in our mothers final days. Mom was born and raised in Ashern, Manitoba and was the youngest of five children. She married Henry Weber in Winnipeg in 1941. After Dads death in 1966, she went on to work at Woolworths and continued to raise the five children alone. She worked at Woolco until her retirement in 1985. Mom will also be missed by her surviving sisters, Olga Harmel and Edna Teskey of Vancouver and by her many friends at Roxy Lane Seniors Club in Winnipeg. Cremation occurred in Prince George, BC and a Memorial Service will be held at Transcona Alliance Church, 751 Kildare Ave. East in Winnipeg on Wednesday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. No words can express how much we will miss you, Mom.
