DOROTHY MARGARET WEDDING (nee McLEAN) On 10th November, 1999 at St. Boniface General Hospital, Dorothy Margaret, aged 82, dearly beloved wife of Adrian Philip Wedding, passed into the nearer presence of our God. Dorothy was predeceased by her second daughter, Iris Jean Faso and is survived besides her husband, by daughter Phyllis Ann Wedding (Ottawa) son Wilfrid Ian Wedding (Vancouver) son-in-law Donald Frank Faso (Winnipeg) grandchildren, Lori-Ann (Wedding) Peltz (Winnipeg), Dana Lee (Faso) Fedorchuk (Fairbanks), Tyler Francis Faso and Jay Donald Faso (both of Winnipeg) great-grandchildren, Brittany and Connor Peltz (Winnipeg) and other Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia relatives. Dorothy was born and raised in East Selkirk, third daughter of the late Murdoch Daniel and Eva Cameron McLean, sister of Elsie Pauli and Ray McLean (both of Vancouver), and of the late Harry McLean (Vancouver), Ruth McLean (East Selkirk), and Olive Wardrop (Winnipeg). She graduated as a registered nurse in 1939 at Neepawa General Hospital, and also worked at Winnipeg Childrens Hospital, Brandon Mental, Selkirk General, and King George Hospitals, before marrying in 1942 and spending 6 1/2 years in New Zealand after the Second World War, returning to Winnipeg in 1951. She will be remembered as camp nurse at the Anglican Summer Camp for many years, and then as secretary of the Camp Board for some time, as well as for her interest in the Girls Auxiliary, and Anglican Church Women. Special thanks to Dr. Brendan MacDougall for his meticulous care over many years, and to the doctors, nurses and staff of A5 at St. Boniface General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in St. Albans Anglican Church, Osborne and Rathgar at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 15. No flowers by request. Donations may be sent to St. Albans Memorial Fund.
