JANETTE BOUCHIE September 1, 1950 - November 12, 1999 Peacefully on November 12, 1999, at the age of 49 years. Janette Bouchie passed away at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Mervin Bouchie; son Mervin; sister Hilda and grandparents Fred and Mary. Janette will be sadly missed by her daughters, Joanne (Byron) and Irene; sons, Melvin, Arthur (Agnes) and Earl; grandchildren, Kenny, Corbin, Aundrea, Andrew, Jeffrey Jr., Brittany and Cassandra; mother Maryjane Benson; stepdad Robert; sisters, Harriet, Florence and Rosalie (Tony) brothers, John (Evelyn) and Kenneth. She also leaves to mourn many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many friends. Janette learned a lot from her mother Maryjane with survivor technique skills. They both enjoyed canoeing and survived going through big rapids where Janette heard moose howling, letting her mother know that the moose was close to them. Her mother shot two moose and they skinned the moose, cut them up and hauled them onto their canoe. Janette and her mother really enjoyed the wilderness together. Wake service was held on Saturday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Sunday, November 14 and Monday, November 15 at the residence of John Green, Bloodvein, Manitoba. Wake service will be held on Tuesday, November 16 at the Bloodvein Pentecostal Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bloodvein Pentecostal Chapel, Bloodvein, Manitoba with Rev. Henry Neufeld officiating. Interment to follow at the Bloodvein Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers will be Melvin Bouchie, Arthur Bouchie, Earl Bouchie, Kenneth Benson, Tony Green Jr., and Larry Green. Active pallbearers will be Norman Turtle, John Green Jr., Neil Young, Richard Green, Fredrick Green and William Young. The family would like to thank the staff of G4A at of the Health Sciences Centre for the wonderful care they gave to Janette, especially to nurse Ann Russell.
