Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT SAMBORSKI Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 9, 1999 at the Meno Personal Care Home in Grunthal, MB, Albert passed away at the age of 85 years. Albert was born on April 4, 1914 and spent his childhood years in the Brightstone and Lac du Bonnet area. He spent a number of years in the Selkirk Mental Health Centre and the last 25 years in the Meno Home in Grunthal. He was predeceased by his mother Pauline Samborski; step-father Steve Mahara; sisters, Mary Samborski and Helen Siemens; brother-in-law Peter Siemens and great-nephew Dustin Siemens. Albert is survived by ten nieces and nephews, Frank Siemens, Louella Bell (Peter), Lorraine Siemens, Laverne March, Skip Siemens, Lena Siemens, Jake Siemens (Kim), George Siemens, Lisa Christensen and John Siemens (Martha), 18 great-nieces and nephews and 21 great-great nieces and nephews. Albert loved to read and watch documentaries of other countries. His lifelong dream was to travel to Australia. He enjoyed his friends at the home especially Roberta Cieciwa who always made time to take him out for coffee. Viewing and a short service will be held on Monday, November 15 at 9:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Jake Wiebe officiating. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the family plot in Brightstone, MB. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
