CHLISTA DOROTHY TRAVERS Peacefully with her family at her side, Chlista Travers, aged 81 years, passed away at the Percy E. Moore Hospital, Hodgson, Manitoba, on Friday, November 12, 1999. Chlista was born on January 2, 1918 at Fisher River, spending most of her life at Jackhead, and most recently had been a resident of the Fisher River Personal Care Home. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, husband Myles; sons, Howard (Rubina), Bert (Dorothy), Raymond (Betsy) and Oral (Marilyn) daughters, Valerie (Herb) and Vera (Jonathan) 24 grandchildren; Lorne, Kevin, Christopher, Wayne, Kenny, Rhonda, Rene, Tricia, Chlista, Anita, Vince, Penny, Dianna, Travis, Ray, Darryl, Bella, Rena, Melissa, Rosalind, Nicole, Vera, Owen and Lyndon; 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; three sisters-in-law, Adelaide Ross, Margaret Travers and Mary Cochrane. She was predeceased by her daughter Rosabelle Stevenson. She was the last surviving member of Mary and Daniel Cochrane. Wake services will be held on Sunday, November 14 at Jackhead First Nations. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Jackhead, Manitoba, with Rev. Barry Bear and Rev. Wesley Barrett officiating.
