WILFRED F. FARMER On November 13, 1999, Wilfred F. Farmer, beloved husband of the late Barbara Farmer, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 89 years. Wilfred was born on August 29, 1910 at 646 Beverly Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. He had been employed with the C.N.R. for 38 years prior to his retirement in 1975. Wilfred enjoyed painting, sketching, and hunting with his brother Joseph. His greatest pleasure was the company of his granddaughter and his great-grandchildren. Wilfred was predeceased by his wife Barbara Ellen February 27, 1995, by his daughter Barbara Gail Knutson on March 16, 1997 and by his infant daughter Valerie Elaine in April 1941. Surviving are his sister Beatrice Hamel; son-in-law Ken Knutson; granddaughter Paula (Todd) Thurston; great-granddaughter Chantel and great-grandson Micheal. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18th at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
