EMILIE MARJORIE HICKAWAY (nee WEGE) April 7, 1924 - November 13, 1999 It is with great sadness that we announce that we suddenly lost our dear wife and mother, November 13, 1999. Emily will be lovingly remembered and truly missed by her loving husband of 46 years Walter; son Darrel (Evonne) Hickaway of Vancouver; daughter Denise (Kim) Penley of Winnipeg; sisters, Florence (Ken) McLeod of New Zealand and Helen (Dennis) OConnor of Florida. Also missing her will be numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Rosa Wege and brother Arnold Wege. Emily was born in Spearhill, MB on April 7, 1924. Mom held many cherished memories of her life in Moosehorn and Spearhill. Her family ties to the Carlson Clan were very important to her and she had very special times with all her cousins. Moms special treasure was her unfaltering memory, never forgetting a person or place. Mom was a hard worker and she held positions at Misericordia Hospital, Rumfords, Clean Towel, Zellers and Central Park Lodge. Mostly she was a loving wife and mother and a dedicated homemaker. She was always there for us with unconditional love. We will feel your spirit with us always. Goodbye Dear Emily, Goodbye Dear Mom. At last you are resting in peace. As per Emilys wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emilys memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Winnipeg R2L 1X3.
