Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUKE EDWARD MIRONUK February 3, 1962 - November 14, 1999 Peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 1999, Luke Edward Mironuk passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 37. Luke will be sadly missed by his mother, Colombe his father Ed; Grand-maman, Gertrude Richard of Montreal. Brothers, Chris (Desiree) and Marc (Kristen) aunts and uncles, Vera (Sam), George (Helen), Sheila of Winnipeg and Lucie (Jean) of Montreal; nephew, Dominic; nieces, Gabrielle, Quinn and Madeline; numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins. Luke was born in Winnipeg. Most of his school years were in St.James where his passion for hockey grew and later turned to sponge hockey. He worked at Winnipeg Transit for 17 years. He was a good soul and his life reflected this. He had a great love of the natural world and the outdoors. With his dog Brudus at his side, Luke tramped the woods, streams and fields of what was once the family farm. This land that was turned into conservation land by his uncle Walter, grew even more as a sanctuary for nature and gave him peace during the time he needed it most. Thank you to the caring staff of the I.C.U. Grace Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lukes memory may be made to Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., R3E 9Z9.
