ROSE D. BOUCHARD (nee LaFontaine) Peacefully on November 15, 1999, Rose Bouchard passed away at Foyer Valade at the age of 94. Rose was born in St-Jean-Baptiste, MB on March 26, 1905 and was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1967; sons, Gilbert, Raymond, Gilles; and son-in-law Marcel Champagne. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Huguette Champagne; daughter-in-law Marina Bouchard (Kansas City) sister Yvonne Kallstrom (Florida) grandchildren, Katrine (Philippe) Porte, France; Lynne (Kirk) McNiven, Tyndall, MB; Paul (Brooke) Bouchard, Denis (Sue) Champagne, Montreal; Robert (Louise) Bouchard, Charles (Heather) Bouchard, Christina and Richard Bouchard, Kansas City; great-grandchildren, Jessica Porte, France; Colin Cormack; Ian and Tegann McNiven; Rita Champagne, Montreal; Kate and Alex Bouchard; and special "daughter" Louise Ulrich. Rose was better known to all of us as "Hazel". She had a "joie de vivre" and sense of humour that we will never forget. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was never afraid to experience changes in her life. This was demonstrated with her various moves to Toronto, Montreal and back to Winnipeg in 1991. We wish to thank the staff at Foyer Valade for all their continued support and compassion through difficult times. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Timothys Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Rd., with Fr. Paul Campeau presiding. Interment to follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to Foyer Valade.
