DAVID DESMOND BUCK It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of our husband, father and grandfather on Monday, November 16, 1999 at the age of 73 at the Royal University Hospital. Dad was born in Woodlawn, Ontario on November 3, 1926. Dad served his country during The Second World War in the Royal Canadian Navy. He then attended McGill University before moving to Saskatoon in the 1950s where he joined Northern Electric. The majority of Dads career was spent with ICP/Herf Jones where he travelled throughout the Prairies helping students create their high school yearbooks. Dads greatest enjoyment was meeting, working with and helping people. He was a deeply religious person, and as a member of his church, was a lay reader for several years. Dad touched many lived with his caring wit and his sincere humor. Dad had two passions in life: old cars and sunshine. When he retired, Dad and Marge would spend time during the winter in Arizona, and while he was at home, he would work on his 1955 Nash Statesman. He was proud of his car and looked forward to the Saskatoon Antique Auto Club Cruise Night where he would show his car. Dave is survived by his loving wife Marge of seven years; sons, Scott (Sabrina) and Daryl; stepfather to Kurt (Heather), Carl (Gail), Eric (Cathy) and Lara. Papa Dave to Mandy, Robyn, Kara, Kaylen, Kiel, Ryan and Sydney Fredrickson and Mikey and Emily Wowk. Brother to Irwin (Dot), Mary (Ed), Alice, Pat (Laura), Berna, Brian (Mavis), Doris (Merv) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Sara; brothers, Charlie, Eddie, Fred and sister Ethel. The Celebration of Life will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 35722 33rd St. West, Saskatoon, SK, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 17. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Dads memory to The Cancer Center, 20 Campus Drive, University of Saskatchewan, S7N 4H4.
