DAVID FRIESEN David Friesen, 84 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 1999 after a valiant struggle with cancer. Devoted husband of 56 years to Minnie (nee Buhr) loving father to Rena (Douglas) Fairbairn and Judith (Clive) Whitlock; adoring grandfather to Lisa (Andre Deschamps), Richard, Kevin and David. He also leaves an extensive circle of relatives and friends who will fondly remember his gentle manner, irrepressible wit and unflagging consideration for others. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, November 19, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with visitation one half hour prior to service. A gathering of friends and family will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Center. The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and prayers, the nurses and staff at the Grace Hospital 3rd floor. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Hospital, 300 Booth Dr. R3J 3M7 or a charity of your choice.
