ANGANETHA THIESSEN Peacefully, on Monday, November 15, 1999 at her residence our loving mother Anganetha Thiessen of Winnipeg, age 89 years, widow of the late Aron Thiessen went to be with her Lord. Funeral Service will be held at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church on Friday, November 19, at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Viewing will be prior to the service. Mom was born on May 30, 1910, daughter of Peter and Katherina Regier in Ukraine where she was raised. She moved to Germany, Paraguay and eventually immigrated to Canada in 1960. In 1933 she married Aron Thiessen and together they raised eight children. She was a strong Christian and was baptized on the confession of her faith in 1929. Predeceased by her husband Aron in 1981; son, Peter in 1958; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. She leaves to mourn, her five daughters, Susan (Peter) Enns of Winnipeg, Tina (Hans) Janzen of Germany, Nettie (Nick) Loewen, Margaret (John) Kroeker, Annie (Wolfram) Grussendorf all of Winnipeg, and two sons Hans (Valerie) of Yorkton and Henry (Erna) of Winnipeg; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
