GERTRUDE EVERETT On November 16, 1999 in the arms of her family, our cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Gertrude Everett passed into the arms of the Lord. Although our hearts are breaking, we know Mom is at peace. Gertrude will always be with her children, Karen and Lloyd Honke, Harvey and Linda Everett. She delighted in her grandchildren, Richard and Debbie Honke, Shelley Mosser and and Rick Bachynsky, Alison Everett, Greg Everett and Mike Mosser to whom she has given great love and precious memories. Her great-granddaughters, Heather and Katlyn Mosser, Erin Honke gave her love and great joy. Gertrude is with her heavenly family; her husband Herb; her mother Elizabeth; her father Paul and her sister Geneva. She was born in Winnipeg and spent many hours in her studies as a young schoolgirl in which she excelled. She married Herb who went overseas in the Second World War leaving Gertrude behind to raise their children, Karen and Harvey. She was widowed as a young woman and began a long successful career with the Federal Government. On retirement, Mom spent many days in volunteer work for which she was honoured with The Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Voluntary Service with the Age and Opportunity Centre. She was a member of St. Marys Magdaline Anglican Church and also spent her earlier years at St. Andrews Anglican Church. There will be a service of remembrance for Gertrude on Friday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with the Rev. Ian Mills officiating. We thank the Emergency Ward staff and MICU staff of Health Sciences Centre for the gentle care given to Mom and the compassion shown to her family. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Childrens Wish Foundation, CE 501 - 840 Sherbrook St., R3A 1S1. It is said no one truly dies that lives in the hearts of those left behind. In tribute to a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and "friend". "Mom" you will always live in our hearts. "Love you, Mom" Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
