Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND GUIMOND Suddenly on November 16, 1999, Raymond Guimond, aged 57 years, beloved husband of Mary Guimond, passed away. Raymond was a very hard working man who worked for Abitibi Price for over half of his lifetime, and had many fond memories of that work experience. He was very instrumental at the Alcare Centre and the many A.A. meetings he used to participate in either as a speaker or just to go to and listen. He was very proud that the Creator gave him the strength to overcome the bad habit of Alcohol, but he never judged anybody that had that problem. One of Raymonds favourite pastimes was watching hockey, and he was a very devoted fan of the South East Blades. He spent the last ten years in the area of education as a board member. This was the thrill of his life because children were his life, his love for them had no measurement. His motto was - love conquers all. Raymond is survived by his loving wife Mary; sons, Daniel, Christopher, and Pernell; daughter Cheryl; special granddaughter Skye; grandchildren, Ashley, Walter, Lance, and Cassidy. Mother Margaret Chartrand of Winnipeg; sisters, Cecile (Douglas) Houston and children of Winnipeg, Catherine (Robert) Courchene of Sagkeeng, Mary Louise (Karman) Agg of Calgary, Nellie Rose, and Linda Rose; brothers, Norman (Gloria) of Sagkeeng, Alfred, Lionel and Henry of Winnipeg, George and Alvin of Sagkeeng. Raymond was predeceased by his father Alfred in 1976 and a sister Marie Antionette in 1975. Wake services will be held at his residence in Sagkeeng, South Shore House # 366. Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Sagkeeng, Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. F. Paradis officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be John Courchene, Paul Guimond, Franklin Courchene, Wayne Fontaine, Darren Guimond and William Courchene. Raymond and Mary were married in 1991, but lived together for 23 years. Together they had two sons, Daniel and Christopher, whom Raymond loved and cherished dearly. Raymond shared with his wife and two boys the gift of love. Sobering Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Beausejour in care of arrangements, phone 1-877-776-2220.
