Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW A. (DREW) LAUDER, B.S.A. Andrew A. (Drew), B.S.A. died peacefully at his home in Kelowna on November 14, 1999. Born September 29, 1919 to Andrew S. Lauder and Frances (Field) Lauder in Edinburgh, Scotland, moving at a young age to Duncan, BC. He was predeceased by his first wife Kaye (Milner). Survived by his loving wife Muriel and sons, Allan A. Lauder (Toronto), Richard E. Lauder (Thunder Bay) and daughter Gini Lauder (Winnipeg) also grandsons, Richard and Andrew, granddaughter Alissa Muma and great-grandson Andrew. He was predeceased by his sister Jessamine A.M. Gray and leaves one brother John R. Lauder (Mamie) of Kelowna. Drew joined the R.C.A.F. in March, 1941, trained as a pilot and Flying Instructor at Elementary and Service Flying Schools in the Second World War for over 30 months. He took his discharge from the R.C.A.F. in March, 1945 retiring as a Flight Lieutenant. Early education was at schools on Vancouver Island and later graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1941. Business career was in Sales and Marketing International. Active in various Masonic bodies for many years. Entered Masonry in 1943 in Prince Albert, SK as a member of the Blue Lodge. In 1942 entered Scottish Rite at the Valley of Winnipeg, in 1959, was initiated into Khartum Shrine Temple in Winnipeg. Served as both President and Director of the Ritualistic Unit of that Temple. He was founder of the St. Pauls United Church Foundation in Kelowna. Cremation. Memorial service will be held at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd., Kelowna on Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Wayne Laurie of St. Pauls United Church. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be sent to the St. Pauls United Church Foundation (Kelowna), 3131 Lakeshore Rd., Kelowna, BC V1Y 1W5 or to a charity of your choice. Inurnment will be at the Lauder family graveyard, Lilyfield, MB at a later date. Funeral arrangements by SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME 250-860-7077.
