JASON EWEN WALTER SCHMIDTKE Jason Ewen Walter Schmidtke of Brandon, died suddenly on November 15, 1999 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Jason was born on January 16, 1980 in Winnipeg. He moved to Brandon at the age of eight years old. Jason enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. He was always fixing things around him. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, listening to music and watching movies. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son Shane. Jason will be lovingly remembered by his father Ewen Schmidtke and loving friend Glennis Azure and her daughter Charlyn; grandmother Toni Schmidtke; son Shane Koistra; Shanes mother Amanda Houle; sisters, Heather Schmidtke with son Jesse and Marleen (Randall) LeDoux with daughters, Christine and Kaitlyn; aunts and uncles, Rosalie (Robert) Vandervalden of Innisfail, AB, David (Christine) Schmidtke of Vancouver, BC, Julia Kartzmark of Red Deer, AB and Alexander (Sharon) Schmidtke of Winnipeg; as well as numerous cousins and friends in Winnipeg and Steinbach. He was predeceased by mother Marilyn Schmidtke and grandfather Walter Schmidtke. A time of visitation for the family and the staff of Child and Family Services will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, Brandon, on Friday, November 19 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. with a time of public visitation following between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Brandon Cemetery.
