MAUDE LOUISE WALLACE
Date of Passing: Nov 16, 1999
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAUDE LOUISE WALLACE Maude Louise, 97, died peacefully November 16, 1999, at Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her sister Ethel May Hafft in 1959 and her husband William Lyle Wallace, formerly with Sherwin-Williams Co. in 1975. She is survived by one daughter Elizabeth Joyce Wallace in the Manitoba Developmental Centre, Portage la Prairie; her niece Myrtle Grant, Florida, two grand nieces, Bonnie Korzeniowski, Winnipeg, Dorene Petersen, Lundar; eight great grand nieces and nephews and ten great-great grand nieces and nephews. She leaves also two nieces by Lyle, Sheila MacDonald, ON and Margaret Jones, BC. "Auntie Maude" was the epitome of Grand - a gracious and giving lady, an unforgettable role model. She devoted her life to caring for her family. She nursed both her ailing mother and her husband until their deaths. She valued her friends and enjoyed playing bride until they left one by one. She was a master of Scrabble and hated to lose. She was an active volunteer devoting much time and contributions to charities and to the Developmental Centre in her younger years. Forever in our hearts, she will be laid to rest beside her husband Lyle at Chapel Lawn at a graveside service. Donations would be gratefully received at the Residents Benefit Fund, Manitoba Developmental Centre, Portage la Prairie.
