GERTRUDE SMITH Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 17, 1999, our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Great-great-grandmother, Gertrude Smith, widow of the late Peter Smith, passed away at the age of 89 years. She is survived by daughters, Dorothy (Art) Nickel of Edmonton, Shirley (Wilfred) Leeson of Winnipeg, Barbara (Arnie) Mykle of Langley; and sons, James (Brenda) Smith and Kenneth (Grace) Smith of Winnipeg; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gertrude was predeceased by her husband Peter; daughter Ruth (George) Dickson; son Leonard; brother Nicholas Kostick and sister Eileen Pidlubny. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital interim unit for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Monday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Padre Stanley Millar presiding. Interment to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Viewing is on Sunday, November 21, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Gary Leeson, Bob Leeson, Graham Smith, Rand Smith, Dan Smith, and Kelly Smith.
