JOHN PATERSON John Paterson, 96 years old, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 1999 at Fred Douglas Lodge. John was born in Scotland on March 4, 1903. John immigrated to Canada in 1910 and settled in Winnipeg. In 1932 he married Beatrice Frost and they had one son Donald. John was employed by the T. Eaton Co. for 44 years, retiring in 1966. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1988; four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his only son Donald and his wife Margaret of Iowa, their two children, Stuart Paterson of Indiana and Laura (Jim) Campbell of California and their two children, Ariel and Neil. The family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge and especially Johns sister-in-law Florence Patterson and her son Rene who met his needs in absence of immediate family. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20. Interment Garden of the Old Rugged Cross, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Donations in Johns memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2, in lieu of flowers.
