ANNE MOAR FINES Suddenly on Saturday, November 13, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Anne Moar Fines, aged 85 years of Winnipeg, formerly of Balmoral. Anne was predeceased by her husband Raymond in April, 1996. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters; grandchildren; and great-grandson, Marion (Harvey) Smith and their family, Glenn, Heather and Melanie (Shawn) and Dylan Carter of Hay River, NWT; Elizabeth (Ron) Russell and their family, Lesley and Mark of Winnipeg and Marnie (Will) Paterson of Taupo, New Zealand; Helen (Ken) Pearson and their family Chris (Erika), and Erin of Cypress River and Andrea of Toronto; and her sisters, Gladys Muir of Winnipeg and Evelyn Wright of Cornwall ON. She was predeceased by her sister Marnie Walkey and brother Charles Johnstone. Mom was born, raised and educated in Winnipeg where, following her marriage to Raymond in 1942, she made her home in Balmoral, MB. She was a dedicated leader and member in the United Church Womens Group and Balmoral Hunter Hospital Auxiliary, and an Elder in the Balmoral United Church. Her kind and caring nature made her well loved not only by her family but also by all who knew her. She was a friend and mother to all who had the great fortune to know her. Funeral service was held on Thursday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Balmoral United Church. Rev. Barbara Anne Bryant-Anstie officiated. Interment followed in the Victoria Cemetery, Balmoral. Pallbearers were Annes grandchildren who were a very important part of her life and meant so much to her. The family wishes to thank the Ambulance attendants and the I.C.U. staff at Victoria Hospital. A special thank you to Irene for her care, concern, and kindness. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Balmoral United Church Memorial Fund or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg.
