Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERT KARPOFF With his family by his side, Bert passed away peacefully on November 17, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Audrey; his children: Carole (Wayne), Colin and Shaun; Barb (Jack), Greg and Laura; Rick (Michele), Kris, Ryan and Mike; Gary (Kristine) Myles (Michelle) his sisters, Ester, Linda (Henry) and Carol (Norm) brothers, Allan (Betty), George (Marg), Larry (Anne), Walter (Kaye), Albert (Hilda), and John; his loving extended family in England, many nieces, nephews and friends. Dad was born June 19, 1920 in Stetten, Germany. His family immigrated to Canada when he was an infant. They resided in Whitemouth, MB. He served overseas in the Second World War, where he met and married Audrey Smith. They returned to Winnipeg, eventually settling in West St. Paul where they raised their family. Dad was employed by Winnipeg Transit and Winnipeg Supply, retiring in November, 1984. His passion for life was his grandchildren whom he cherished. Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. A private family interment has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Berts memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8, or the Cancer Care Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to ICU Concordia Hospital, and ICM/CCU St. Boniface Hospital for their caring and kindness.
